How to Play Egg Hunt 2026: Platforms, Free Access & First Steps
Published
To play Egg Hunt 2026: The Grand Eggspress, you need a free Roblox account and the Roblox app — the game itself launches July 29, 2026 at 3:00 PM ET, with the introduction and Chapter 1 playable for free and the full game available as a $30 purchase. A playable demo is already linked from the official site.
Step 1: Get Roblox (any major platform works)
The game runs inside Roblox, which is free on Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, Xbox and PlayStation (allthings.how tracker lists all of these as supported targets). If you already play Roblox, there is nothing extra to install.
Step 2: Find the real game
- Official hub: studiokoikoi.com/egghunt2026 — it links directly to the Roblox experience (“Play Demo” and “Buy on Roblox”).
- Or search the full game name on Roblox once it is live on July 29 at 3:00 PM ET (exact time in your timezone).
- Big Roblox launches attract copycat experiences with near-identical names. If an experience is not linked from Studio Koi Koi’s official site or accounts, don’t buy anything in it.
Step 3: Choose free or full access
| Option | What you get | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Free | Introduction + Chapter 1 at launch; Chapter 2 free from Aug 5 | $0 |
| Full game | All story chapters + full egg hunt | $30 |

What the gameplay is
It’s a story-driven 3D platformer: you travel between worlds aboard the Grand Eggspress train, clear platforming challenges chapter by chapter, and collect the uniquely themed eggs hidden across each world — over 100 are planned, each designed by a UGC creator (official game page). It supports both solo play and multiplayer, so you can hunt with friends. The story spans 6 chapters, each set in its own world — here’s the full worlds list.
Specific mechanics — movement abilities, egg-tracking UI, checkpoints, difficulty options — are not yet confirmed publicly; we’ll document them from in-game testing at launch. The launch build also ships post-completion content: a challenge map and a boss fight were announced in the release press release.
Smart first-day plan
- Convert the launch hour to your timezone — in Asia it lands in the early morning of July 30.
- Try the free intro + Chapter 1 before deciding on the $30 purchase.
- Expect launch-hour server load; the event runs a full month to August 29, so nothing is missable on day one (based on the announced schedule — any limited-time drops inside the event are not yet confirmed).
- Keep our egg database open — per-egg guides start rolling in once eggs are found and verified.
Changelog
- July 28, 2026 — Initial pre-launch version. Gameplay described only as far as officially announced; hands-on details to be added after launch.
